Hideaway Under the Stars

Get Ready to Experience Something Unique!

THE PHOTOS ARE GLORIOUS BUT THE HOBBIT HIDEAWAY IS FAR MORE BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING THAN EVEN THEY CAN SHOW!”
The Hobbit Hideaway was the loveliest homely house! Everything is by design here and we adored the layout of the space. Cosy and spacious at the same time. The photos are glorious but the hobbit hideaway is far more beautiful and interesting than even they can show! We frolicked in the fairy glen and made use of the herb garden. Kim and Mark were warm and truly friendly hosts who provided lots of local information and options of walking routes to take. We also gladly took them up on the offer of fresh beetroot from their polytunnel - delicious!

“YOU CAN FEEL THE LOVE AND DEVOTION”
Kim and Mark have done a wonderful job and you can feel the love and devotion they have put into this special little house and all it's personal touches. We went for some wonderful walks, visited a great whisky distillery, played for hours in the local park and went looking for dolphins. In the evenings we cooked and ate in the HH and then settled down in front of the wood burning stove to read "Lord of the Rings" -- of course.

THE FAIRY GARDEN AND LIGHTS IS EVERY KIDS DREAM”
What a spectacular place. We came here as a family of 4 plus bump plus dog for my 40th birthday and it was just perfect. Kim met us to show us around and gave me a beautiful and thoughtful birthday gift which was so unexpected! The house is so unique and perfectly laid out with so many hidden treasures. I loved that there was no TV and a real sense of just being. We loved reading some of the books dotted about and the games. The fairy garden and lights is every kids dream, we cannot wait to come back. — Julie, UK

FUN PLACE FOR KIDS TO EXPERIENCE NICE STUFF IN LIFE
This is a wonderful house with a great design. Warm, welcoming and caring host. On top of that, bonus point for an eco-concept. A full story of the building process is included in the house manual, including internet links. We only stayed 2 nights and it was definitely not enough to see the full potential of the hobbit hideout. The rooms offer a nice visual experience, especially the bunk bed area. The kitchen is well equipped, well designed, and pleasant to use. The fireplace is well-thought and a nice hot place to lounge with your tribe. There are well thought exterior places around the house were you can also spend nice moments, eat something or barbecue some local food. The exterior lights are especially well designed, and add a really nice touch when the night comes. Fun place for kids to experience nice stuff in life. Last but not least, the hobbit hideout offers one of the best overall equipment we saw on holidays these last years, there are games (for adults, kids or very small kids), telescope (!), books, good pointers on the things to look around, and enough chairs, sofa, bean bag, armchair for everyone. Will come back for our next scotland trip.

“THE PHOTOS DON’T DO THE PLACE JUSTICE”
Had a lovely relaxing time at the Hobbit hideaway. The photos don't do the place justice! So many little details around the building & location make up for a great place to stay. A great vision has been transformed into a physical form with this one. Keeping. So peaceful and in the heart of Morayshire. The moon roof in the centre of the building shining light on the dining area is a great feature! Also, the interior feels bigger than you may think with lots of different seating areas in such a small space! Already got people asking where it is! Definitely one of our favourites!

“Effortlessly the BEST place to stay in the highlands. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here. It’s stylish, clean, one-of-a-kind, and above all- the host is very kind and accommodating.

“EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR STAY WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!”
This was a treat for my mum for Mother’s Day. The best place in Scotland to relax and unwind in a quirky & unique home. Kim made it clear that the hobbit hideaway was our home for the 3 nights we had booked. However, as she was so close it helped a lot to have someone there who knows the area which gave us a peace of mind. Everything about our stay was absolutely amazing! Hobbit hideaway is a real treat. Quirky, fun and amazing hosts - with amazing views on life & nature. Kim gave us great deal of information of local amenities prior to arrival, to help us get the most of beautiful Aberlour and surrounding areas. Kim is the sweetest person, we sat on Mother’s Day at the fire pit with drinks. We did not want to leave, so much so we stayed another night! Bean bags in front of fire & Fairy Glen is a definite favourite. Aberlour is a short drive away, or £10 in a taxi. The hobbit hideaway is a must visit... We returned home today & already planning the next visit! The Games provided to play for children and adults are a brilliant way to spend quality time together.

“SECLUDED, MAGICAL, PEACEFUL”
What an amazing place! Secluded, magical, peaceful. Words don't do it justice. So much little surprises you keep discovering throughout your stay. We will definitely be back in the future and I'd absolutely love to spend a few days there in deep dark winter time with snow all around.

“EVENINGS AT THIS PLACE ARE MAGICAL”
Reasons to stay: - Great hosts - Unique and quiet place - Away from the crazy world - Hundred amazing places to visit within 1 hour drive - No TV! (time to interact with each other) :) Stayed here for a week and it was hard to leave. Evenings at this place are MAGICAL, relaxing and calm. 7 days are not enough to explore all the places around. If you are a person who loves to escape from the world, this is the place to go for!

“ONCE YOU STEP FOOT INTO THE MAGICAL PLACE, YOU REALLY FEEL LIKE YOUR LIVING OFF THE PAGES OF THE HOBBIT UNIVERSE”
We never knew we would experience a place like the Hobbit Hideout. Located in the beautiful landscape of the Highlands, this place is tucked deep into the Speyside area. However, with the awesome open communication from the amazing host, Kim, finding this place was at ease. When we arrived at the destination, we were warmly greeted by Kim and Mark. Kim gave us a tour and some background history of the origins of the Hideout. She gave us a cute welcome basket with biscuits, a bottle of wine, and FRESH eggs from her neighbor up the street. Once you step foot into the magical place, you really feel like your living off the pages of the Hobbit universe. It’s definitely one of my favorite stays, and would love another opportunity to stay here again with family. Especially since it was built with the environmental friendly intention in mind and is also a fun place for kids to stay at. Thank you once again Kim for creating such a beautiful house. Cheers for being an amazing host. It was a pleasure to meet you.

“WE LOVED ALL THE LITTLE EXTRAS”
This place is a little hidden gem. Somewhere to totally unwind and have quality family time. The building itself is unbelievable and I loved that we kept finding little things in wee places. We will be back very soon already looking at dates we can all manage. Kim is a outstanding host and made us feel so much at home and we loved all the little extras she added to make it special to us.

“IT IS TRULY AN INSPIRATIONAL SPACE”
Thank you so much for creating the Hobbit Hideaway! It is truly an inspirational space, both in its creation and it's execution. We were so very charmed by all of your thoughtful touches and the amazing array of amenities and tools provided. The home is so eco-conscious in its construction and function and as such is an inspiration to living in harmony with the environment. It was truly a pleasure to be your guests!
